Roomies . . .

college roomies
the six of us met each other in college in 1957
Janette, Theresa, Lynne, Elaine, Judy, Lorena

we lived in Brigham Hall dorm in our first year of college

later, some of us moved to a house
which was known as the
Feather House
so we became the
Feather House Girls

some of us met our future spouses
one of us already had met hers
we studied and played together
experienced a bit of mischief together too
we have laughed and cried
wished, hoped, dreamed together

we used to get together each year
to catch up with our lives

we became
wives, mothers, teachers, grannies
and some of us great grannies

(these pictures were taken at Theresa's home in the nineties)

***
we graduated from the
University of Wisconsin at Platteville
one of several state schools in Wisconsin

***
I am proud to be a graduate of UWP
my entire family graduated from there
mom, dad, brother

***
hey there roomies . . .
I am in the mood for a reunion catch up
let's choose a place and make it happen
Love ~ Lynne

As soon as I saw Brigham Hall........ I thought, "huh! That's a coincidence. Platteville had a Brigham Hall". We are fellow alumnae of UW-P!! Or, as it was called back in the day, Wisconsin State University- Platteville. I was an Elem Ed major when I attended. Wow! That is funny!! That is where I met my husband (of 44 years!!)
Small world!

How fabulous! I had my first roomie meet-up in decades a year or so ago and it couldn't be beat. I'm glad yours was just as delightful -- there is something so powerful about enduring friendship.

Hi Lynner,
Thanks so much for posting these pictures! I don't remember seeing them before. What's with all of us wearing glasses? I think that is tea slush in the pitcher . I always used to have an ice cream bucket of it in the freezer. I'd forgotten about it. Wonder if I still have he recipe.
A get together would be super -- maybe in the fall? xoxoxxo, Tess
