Nothing like flying over Ireland, getting ready to land
and see the vast hills and valleys of green . . .
Truly no other Green like the Green of Ireland . . .
On one of our trips we searched out Standing Stones and Stone Circles . . .
Getting off the beaten track and hiking the hills . . . the very best indeed . . .
Never know what little bits of ancient history you might find . . .
The top picture was taken in a field of standing stone.
How they moved the stone thousands of years ago
to build their homes, buildings, churches is amazing . . .
If you make a trip to Ireland, visit Newgrange . . .
located a bit north and west of Dublin.
And you will ask yourself the same question . . .
how did they manage to move all the stone . . .
create such a masterpiece . . .
The next two pictures were taken as we were driving about
in the south west near Bantry and Dingle Peninsula.
The flower you see, which blooms everywhere, is called Crocosmia . . .
We love Ireland . . . one day we will return . . .
We are looking forward to a full weekend of Saint Patrick Day events . . .
Happy St. Patrick's Day & Weekend . . .
Slainte' . . .
Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through
