A Very Nice Surprise . . .

On Mondays I volunteer at the main entrance of our local hospital.
My job is to escort people to their various appointments and/or patient visits.
I enjoy my volunteering because I meet such wonderful people and I love the walking!

Yesterday I walked a woman to the elevators.
She stopped me, asked me if my name was Lynne and if I wrote a blog . . .
I was stunned, pleasantly surprised, overjoyed that she recognized me and said HELLO.

A few minutes ago, I found this comment on my most recent post . . .

Hello, Lynne!
So nice to meet you at Mercy Hospital today. It took me a few minutes but your face looked familiar and it finally dawned on me that I read your blog. What a coincidence that you were the volunteer who showed me to the elevator.

I'm going to tell my BFF about the flower garden in Whitehall and we'll go check it out. Thanks for telling me about it. Their flowers couldn't be any prettier than those in your own yard though! Gorgeous!

I enjoyed meeting you, Lynne.

So Marge, these flower arrangements of mine and some of my garden pictures are for you . . .
I often say . . . it's the little things . . .
Your sweet HELLO, made my day!
Here is my email, I hope to hear from you soon, grannyfree72@gmail.com . . .
Love ~
Lynne

How cool is that! You may have a meet-Michigan-bloggers year! And of course your arrangement and the garden pix are fabulous. Doesn't it feel good to be recognized by your blog? The first time that happened to me I think I had to be peeled off the ceiling! Well, you SHOULD be, because it's wonderful!

So nice of Marge to recognize you! I recall being recognized by one f my readers about 8 or 9 years ago when I had a previos blog. Sort of stunned me when she asked if I was the lady that writes a blog she reads. Makes the world seem so small.

Oh, that is wonderful to make new friends online that you actually get to meet. What a joy! Your bouquets are beautiful! I'm surprised you still have Bleeding Hearts blooming. Mine are long gone! That's kind of you to volunteer at the hospital.

Hello again. MarmePurl, I found Lynne's blog on another blogger's list and was intrigued by the name because I had just gotten home from Ireland (2014). I wondered if she had been to some of the places I visited and she had...namely The Kennedy homestead. Oh, and Lynne & her hubby live in the city where my hubby & I were born & raised so I'm familiar with the areas she blogs about. And now you know.

Lovely. Both the encounter with Marge and your flowers. Curious to know what kind of mulch do you use in our garden. xo
