Ramona Lilliann Duffy-Ingalls . . .

RAMONA LILLIANN DUFFY-INGALLS
Ramona Lilliann Duffy-Ingalls passed away Tuesday, August 1, at her home in Riverside, CA.
Mona, as she was known to friends and family, lived in Riverside for 45 years. She was born in 1936 in San Diego, CA. She graduated from Grossmont High School and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Patrick E. Duffy. Pat was a Marine, so through the 1950s and 60s she lived a military life, and was often on her own raising their seven children while Pat was overseas serving in Korea and Vietnam. They were married 43 years until Pat's death in 1997. Big-hearted and ever the optimist, Mona remarried twice. She lost her second husband, Frank, to cancer after 6 years of marriage. She later married Howard, who made the last 9 years of her life some of her happiest.

Mona loved her garden, her house, and her blogger friends. She loved to sing and play the piano. She had a gift for making old tattered toys, linen, dishes, and dolls beautiful again. She loved her family and showed it often. She thought her children and grandchildren were her greatest achievement. She had faith in the future.

Mona's daughter Sandra (1959-2013) and son Patrick (1955-2016) predeceased her. Her sons, Michael (wife Cindie) of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Daniel, of Riverside, and daughters, Erin Martinez (husband Jim), of Riverside, Maryalice Carter (husband Brock), of Newport Beach, and Dawn Duffy, of Santa Cruz, and her husband Howard Ingalls, survive her. Mona also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and many dear friends.

A gathering of Mona's family and friends will be at Jammin' Bread in Riverside, Sunday, August 27 at 3:00 pm.

Arrangements under the direction of Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary.

Oh Lynne, I'm so very sorry. It's really tough when a friend dies. (Especially at our age, but really, anytime.)

She sounds like a good person who left much behind, including many friends like you.

Hi, This is Danny, Mona's middle son. It's been a bit over a year since mom passed, and I found myself going through her old blog this morning. Lynne, I saw your reply to my announcement of mom's passing and followed the link. Thank you.
