Is It Just Me . . .

Is it just me . . .
the yellows and oranges
seem more brilliant than ever
here in Western Michigan . . .
I think the Maples are wearing their best garb!

I made a visit to Gary’s grave a few days ago,
on the only blue sky, sunny day in the week.

It will always seem unbelievable . . .
October 14, 1980 . . .

Loved seeing this overgrown pine in
the cemetery, near his grave.
I had never noticed the little
red berries before . . .

It left me with a smile . . .

I don't know Gary's story - was he a family member? Gone too soon :-(

As for fall around here, our colors are muted this year - things turning brown more than colorful - probably due to all the rain and humidity we've had all summer, and continuing. Bleh.

Hello, we are not seeing the fall colors here. Maybe too much rain, we are seeing the leaves turn brown and then fall. The berries near Gary's grave are pretty, wishing you happy memories on the 14th. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

Our trees are still not really turning yet, Lynne. It's been so warm here, soon, I guess. I'm glad you were able to visit, too. The weather has kept me from doing the same...hugs my friend.

A very pretty tree that shelters Gary's grave.
How we miss those loved ones.

Very pretty trees in your area. The trees have been acting odd around here... not quite their usual brilliant colours. I think it's because of our long and super dry summer.

Have a sweet Fall day.

He was so young:( I am thinking he was your husband..your children must have been young also.
I am so sorry you had to suffer such a loss.
I have come to understand that you did remarry and are happy:)
I am glad for that.

Here the trees are late..and really only yesterday the sun shone..you need the sun to make the colors ever so much more vibrant:) In your face like LOL:)

I didn’t know Gary’s story either...oh so very young. The berries on the bush would have made me smile too, an unexpected gift!
