I ENJOYED attending a “Making A Mug” class last night at the
Robin Nidelcheff Studio
There were five of us, plus Robin the instructor.
We received instruction, flattened the clay, discussed designs and got busy creating!
Here is my piece . . .
My “mug” may become a vase . . . I decided on no handle . . . so a vase or a “both hands mug!”
Excited to see it after it is fired and glazed . . .
I can see flowers and/or greens in it already though . . .
Friend Donna’s looked wonderful . . .
Mugs will be fired during the week
and we will add the glaze next week.
Brousing through the studio was great fun.
i found a few items that might have to come home with me.
Like this piece . . .
some nice things wherever I looked . . .
I received one of Robin’s pieces at Christmas . . . beautiful deep red glaze, wonderful design.
I placed the plate with some 70’s Audubon flower and bird templates . . . and I do like the look . . .
Stepping out, trying something a bit new, feels like good health to me.
I love being surrounded by the arts . . . and love participating too . . .
’til next time . . .
love

Beautiful Lynne! I used to love playing with clay. I should take a class of my own, it looks like so much fun!
Hello Lynne, the clay play sounds like a fun time. Your vase/mug is pretty. I like the fern impressions? All the clay pieces are beautiful. Enjoy your day and week ahead.
Good job, Lynne..Love the color...I love pottery...Hope you are having a good week..
I assuming from the look of the studio that you hand made your mugs. I still have a vase I made a hundred years ago.
We went to a studio to throw pots last year and it was so fun.
Enjoy you vase/mug.
So many nice things in the studio. Your mug/vase is great - well done!
That looks like fun! So many beautiful pieces there and soon yours will be among them! It'll be gorgeous!
I thought I commented here already. I must be losing it...okay..I AM losing it. lol What fun and I love the pieces. What a great way to spend some time. xo Diana
A fun class to enjoy while the winter moves along. Some nice creations you got to photograph.
This looks like such good, creative fun.
You find the best things to do. I think your vase/mug will be awesome. Can't wait to see the finished product. My daughter actually loves both of her handleless mugs.
Beautiful! i've never did pottery. One of sis-in-laws did her specialization on pottery.
Good evening, Lynne. What an interesting class! I like your mug/vase and all the things of nature in the pictures. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished product. Have fun!
yes always good to try something new and I am dying to see the finished item of your. There certainly are some lovely items there. Choosing one would be difficult
What fun! I thought of a pottery class as I love the pieces so:)Good for you!
Nice work. I would love to learn pottery.
That sounds like fun and I love what you did with the imprints. Be sure to show it to us when it is glazed and fired! How fun to do something new!
Nice pieces! I love pottery! Sure looks like fun.
By the Way, I see you have moved onto pop up commenting! Thank you. I would hate to stop visiting your blog.
I've been on blog break but plan to return real soon.
Your mug/vase looks wonderful - and also like a lot of fun! I also really like the way you are displaying the little plate with the audubon cards. You have an artistic flair with your decor!
How fun! Your mug/vase and all the others are inspiring! I really need to sign up for a workshop. Peter @ The Outlaw Gardener just posted about a workshop he taught on stained glass garden flower stakes. Looks like so much fun!
I love these places...I haven't made a piece of pottery but I've tried painting some...not too good, either. I have not a lick of talent in that department. Can't draw or paint...sew, nope...I can cook...and I can make my house look pretty to my eyes...but thats about it.
Hope things are good in your world, Lynn oxo
you amaze me...
All of your mugs/vases look brilliant and I hope we see them when they have been glazed. XXXX
I can't wait to see your finished mug! I hope you are surviving the cold. Stay safe and warm! Hugs!

What beautiful pottery and I like the idea of going to a class to make a mug.
Hope you are enjoying the pottery
I have never done that and i'll put that on my list now that i'm retired
Hello Lynne....I have missed you. I see it's been awhile since you posted..hope things are ok.
We have a Clay Cafe here that we can choose pieces to paint but don't know of a place where we can actually make a piece from clay. Bet this was fun
Lynne- I didn't have a direct email to you but wanted to thank you for leaving me a comment on my blog. I gave up sugar and white flour on Feb 1st and, after detoxing, I feel SO much better -not nearly as achy AND I don't crave something sweet every minute like I did before I gave the sugar up. Good luck to you- xo Diana
It was so nice to see you back posting Lynne to Nana Diana
Your work is beautiful. Nice change of art. I will be back to see the finishing touches as you go along. I am back puttering around after two knee replacements. Unfortunalley my dear Specialist who did my operations. Was taken away from us all. This January. A Rig Jackknifed. In half hour he was gone.
