a lunch counter
in a one time hometown pharmacy
no pharmacy or pharmacist on board
but the pharmacists daughter
kept the doors open when her dad died
and created one of the best lunch corners around
salads, egg salad, ham cheese, turkey swiss, grilled cheese sandwiches
a cup or bowl of soup or chili
lime soda, root beer floats, ice cream
vintage, old fashioned everything
dishes, bar stools, chairs, tables, memorbillia everywhere
let the pictures tell the story
we enjoyed our lunch
my brother flies back home to Iowa tomorrow
a special week indeed

Hello, Lynne! what a great place. I remember going to our local pharmacy lunch counter. I hope you had a great Christmas and visit with your brother. Enjoy your day and the week ahead! I wish you all the best in 2017, Happy New Year!
OK, so if I ever get over to your side of the state for a face-to-face, can we go there? This spot looks so fun, so charming -- and what's not to love about egg salad?
So glad you and your brother are having fun!
So charming...looks like something out of a Frank Capra movie! Enjoy your brother's visit!
