FERDINAND . . .

A favorite of mine when I was a little girl.
Not sure why, so I checked it out when I went to the library today.
I think I found my answer . . . let me know what you think!
Copyright 1936.
Love the illustrations too.
I will be back soon.
love

My Mom was a librarian, and I remember enjoying this book. It's a great book that can remind kids about just being yourself. I think it also celebrates the introverts among us because (as I recall) while Ferdinand's bull brothers wrestled each other, he was happy to just sit under the tree and to observe and smell the lovely flowers. I'll bet he would have loved the sunflowers!!! :-)!!

I never heard of the book Ferdinand. My favorite book was The Pokie Little Puppy - which actually is still in print!!! I wanted to buy one for my grand daughter - went into Barnes and Noble - didn't hold out much hope to find it so I stopped a sales person. When I told him the title - he said "Oh Yes, and led me right to it!" Must be a classic. Hahaha.

I heard of Ferdinand but I never read it. Not that I remember. How was it? Still good?
