Thinking About Love . . .

 I have been thinking about “love” . . .

Snickers passed away yesterday.
She was the most unconditional part of our life.
Sure, we needed to do all those “parenting” little things,
like feed her, care for her, give her walks and treats
but what we have loved most
is the simple unconditional love she gave us.

She lit up when we walked through the door,
she would flip over on her back for a belly rub,
she wagged her tail at most everything,
but that tail went into fast mode when we said the word “treat.”
She loved her walks, sniffing every blade.
She yipped, barked, “talked”
and each little everything
has left us with wonderful memories.

She was our joy . . . we are missing her unbelievably . . .

Enjoy these pictures . . .

Snickers was such a cute darling, Sad days for you. When I think of losing a beloved pet, I recall the idea that when we arrive in heaven, all the animals we loved will be there to greet us.

Beautiful Lynne, I’m so very sorry. I lost my 14 year old Golden Doodle last year and it is like no other pain. You gave Snickers a beautiful life. That has to be a rewarding feeling.
Best to you and Mr Irish.

Oh, Lynne. Such a lot in your world in these days. This is just so hard. You are spot on about their unconditional love and the joy they bring. Please take good care of your heart these days, so that it can begin to heal. Much love.

Snickers was the main character in one of the first posts I ever read of yours. Your love for her shined through then as it does now.

Oh No! So unfair that their lives are SO short compared to ours. I know your heart is just broken right now. Console yourself with the thought that she LOVED every moment of that short life living with you. Thoughts and hugs to you right now.

So sorry Lynne and Mr. Irish...we know what you are feeling. We watched our cat Birdie die this last month. She was 17. At some point they turn into our children don't they?
