Sunshine, Conversations and Joy . . .

off to chicago
with my friend barbie
for a reunion of sorts

for me to meet penny
and for barbie to reconnect

and as well
visit barbie's niece,
nephew in law and great niece
and a bit of shopping too

it is eleven at night
i am the last one of the three of us
to write about our past few days

our trip began with a stop
at the holland farmer's market
to find some pumpkins to bring to
barbie's great niece
and her mommy and daddy

meet barbie's great niece
this little munchkin
is full of joy

she showed us her new teeth
she danced for us
she said a few words

there is no doubt
she is filled with happiness
how blessed and loved she is

 we enjoyed decorating their home
with some pumpkins
from the market

have you ever met a
golden person

meet
penny
she is golden
authentic, kind, gentle

barbie met penny a few years ago
when they shared their common polish heritage

barbie connected me
with penny at her
at home in english valley blog
we have been visiting and "friending"
one another since then

penny treated us to
 yummy home baked goodies
and invited us to craft with her

fabulous idea to join
three people who knew
one another through blogging
yet were very new at sitting with one another
face to face

it took no time
for us to
to be chatting like old and dear friends

on to the market to find some polish meats and foods

 our day culminated
with a drive into the city
to north state street
to visit a shop named

i am weary
sleep is calling
i will visit with you again soon

until then
TTFN

and in the meantime
please visit
penny and babs
for their show and tell versions
of sunshine, conversations and joys

Lynne, a few years ago, Dave and I went to Eastern Europe, including Poland. We traveled with Helene who is renown for putting folks together with their families in the Old Country. She specializes in Slovakia but Polish folks know her as well.
