Sixteen Tons and Days Older . . .

DOWN
DONE
OVER

We have had some very busy days around here.
I lost count of how many tarps we have carried back into the woods.
Sixty-seventy plus . . .
Never, ever have we had so many oak leaves.
(I wonder if I say this each year.)

One corner of many . . .

This was almost the end of the final day.
We have tons of ground covers and many shrub like plantings ALL over.
(I wonder wihat I was thinking when I planted all this stuff years ago.)

Rear Hosta Garden
 ~
Friday eight hours,
yesterday another eight hours.
Four more sessions in the days before.

Mr Garden House did the various roof peaks etc.
We each raked and blew leaves.

 He hauled tarps friday,
martyr me did it yesterday.

Electric bill is ging to zing with all the usuage this got.
.

View to the front yard where it has been cleaned.

Sixteen tons of these babies.

 Love this look . . .
This is her perch where she keeps an eye on us.
Looking a bit upset, don't you think?

Well that is it!
2012 leaf chapter closed.
Now the snows can fly.

Hold on to your hats.
One of my favorite things to do is to shovel snow.
TRULY
I love everything about it, fresh air, exercise and white stuff.

Don't forget to vote.
Hopefully the ugliness will end and
we will remember that

We Are Americans

We support who we elect.
I will be working an election precinct on Tuesday.

Little Snickers is having surgery on Wednesday.
MGH found a leision on her lip
Off it will come, as well as three other spots.
So we will be pampering her big time Wednesday eve

You have been a busy little chickadee my dear! I will be voting on Election Day... That's just how we roll around here.

Snickers sure is giving you 'the look' in that photo. I hope she does okay with her surgery. You sure have a lot of leaves. I guess I do too with 5 maple trees. Hubby is coming home for a few days this time so he will mulch them with the mower. We'll spread them on the gardens and the rest will be bagged or left to fertilize the lawn. Take care. Pam

A season of fallen leaves is crispy. If I have those oak tree leaves I must do some eco print experiments. The leaf shape is pretty. Say hi to your sweet puppy. Smooth election in your country.

You sure do have a lot of leaves! And you are keeping in good shape doing all the yard work and next the shoveling. I love the look on your Snickers, she is adorable. I hope all goes well with her surgery. I will be voting tomorrow, I can not wait for it to be over though. Have a great day!

My old dog recently had a huge lesion removed from his bum and it healed very quickly and nicely. Hope that little snickers does the same.

I've been noticing oak leaves on my walks this year...they do seem plentiful.

that's a lot of leaves!! we do SOME raking too...i rake out the 'flower' gardens, but mostly, sam just mulches them all up with the mower! and where ever he can't reach with the mower, we just leave....the easy way out!!

oooooh, little snickers!! so cute...sorry he has to have stuff removed...but he'll sure be thankful for all the pampering and XTRA love while he's healing!!

I hope you had a good dinner waiting after all that work! As you know, I need to 'import' leaves up here. There are always some good friends who'll bring me a bag or two.
We'll be watching your election with much interest. After all, we live so close that whatever happens south of the border has an enormous impact on us up here.

Big job and great photo’s Lynne. Your new camera is earning it’s keep. Good luck to Snickers. Will be looking for a progress report. I'm sure she will be fine.

Oh my goodness such a lot of leaves. You must have an enormous garden when I see all that. I suppose all that raking keeps you in excellent shape. I hope your little friend will be ok soon.

I love the snow as well..I even brought my little electric snow blower..Nobody does my driveway to my liking..and unless it's windy, I like being out there..

I am impressed with you all your labors. As soon as we have the leaves raked and bagged the gardens are once again covered. With the roller coaster temps the leaves are not in a rush to fall. Hugs to Snickers. I know she will do well. Bless her!

Good Morning, What a cutie! I was thinking the same thing "Why did we plant all theses trees". I am thankful to my son-n-law he helped us so much this year. Enjoy your week-end, Anna
