Random 5 Friday . . .

One:
TIMING
have you ever noticed
that sometimes you hit every stop light just right
and then others, you're at the intersection and it changes to yellow
and others it is red, and the next light, red and the next . . . red
no big deal, I just noticed today I hit every light perfectly

Two:
ANTICIPATING:
needles, yarn and pattern are in hand
thoughts of teeny, tiny fingers and toes
 soft pink colors
this great granny is planning on having
busy knitting fingers in the next weeks

Three:
MOVING
my body that is
impossible to walk outdoors near our home
so off to the mall I went on Wednesday
to click off some steps indoors

Four:
WATCHING
I wasn't swept off my feet
by episode one of Downton Abbey
but episode two put me back on track

Five:
CELEBRATING
my friend babs is
celebrating a birthday today
stop in and visit her
and maybe she will tell you how many candles on her cake
it always feels great to receive birthday greetings
~ ~ ~
I did mine, how about you.

I notice that with signals. I think we notice it only when we are in a hurry.

I have not seen episode 2 yet- maybe I will watch it tonight.

Your knitting project looks very sweet. A talent I never learned. Episode 2 was rather shocking. I think mall walking is a good idea with all our crusty icy walkways right now. We've been busy getting some exercise on the ice rink. Enjoy the weekend. It's finally Friday!

Love the yellow tulips. Yes the second episode was quite the shocker.

I haven't watched any episodes of D.A. -- the better half hogs the remote. ;)

Knitting for a wee great grand?!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my foster father used to tell me about traffic lights being timed "just right." When he was a young man, if you drove 32 miles an hour, he could travel the length of Denver, Colorado - without ever waiting for a red light.

cool

I hit green lights 3 different times in town this week but they all ended with red ones. I love that timing though. I have yellow tulips in front of me too! Cheerful on this dark day. Have a great weekend.

Fun facts and beautiful tulips! I'm working on white ones right now. Aren't they great in winter? Sure helps keep winter blues away.

I hate it when I hit the lights all on "red" but love it when I hit them just right.
Great idea to walk "indoors" at the mall when it's nasty outside. We use to be able to do that but then they tore our mall down. Long story...
Such pretty yellow tulips. I will pop in an wish your friend a happy birthday.

Love your random things.
I should stop and think about 5 random things myself.

Love that you are going to be making something for your great-grand. Very cool!! Very special too.

Downton Abbey.... don't get me started . Episode 2 of this season had me talking at the t.v!
"Tell Bates!" "Tell Bates!"

Guess we'll see what happens.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy Downton on Sunday.

Jealous that you got an indoor walk in! We walked a bit the other night, but it's so icy I won't walk when I am home alone. Have fun with your knitting projects!

Downton Abby. Yep, I felt exactly like you. First episode..blah..but right back on track like you with the second episode. Getting interesting. If Anna gets pregnant from that beast, I will be heartsick. She is such a really nice person. Bates would kill the man! NO doubt about it. Soft spoken but no pushover! Yep, someones going to die!

Good heavens! I sound just like those women that used to go on and on about soap opera's! I used to laugh at them..now listen to me! :)

Oh, PS...

I left you a comment on my post, but in case you don't check back there, [I mean who does normally?] the answer is Pic Monkey.

I use a lot of their overlays...and the foggy days we have been having have helped.

Knitting in winter must be so relaxing and rewarding, Lynne. Especially a baby project. Congratulations. Going to a mall to walk -- good for you! The yellow tulips are so cheery. Oh, I recall driving to work, back in the old days, and hitting every red light along the way. A memory I'd just as soon not have. ;) Hope you had a great weekend, my friend. xx
