1, I love my friends from this blogging world.
Oh I also love my friends from my non blog world but sometimes I find
my real life friends want nothing to do with my blog life friends.
Funny thing is, I find that my blog life friends
place no judgment at all on my real life friends.
What's that all about anyway . . .
2, Back to this blogging world . . . things I like, love.
I have people to visit with every day, consistently,
from all around the USA and the world.
3, Each day I can see pictures of family, flowers, birds,
animals, pets, landscapes and more.
I can read poetic and prose,
try out new recipes, craft almost anything,
my goodness I even learned how to paint on a canvas.
4, I find out about new authors and books, read many of them too.
And I can listen to music and watch videos of boxers playing in the snow.
I hear when people are asking for a hug, a bit of cheer, an ear.
I have met people who make me laugh every single post.
I have met people who make me think, stretch my mind.
I hear when people are asking for a hug, a bit of cheer, an ear.
I have met people who make me laugh every single post.
I have met people who make me think, stretch my mind.
5, I have met people who have talents in
art, design, photography, DIY,
crafting, baking, cooking, gardening, farming, building,
exercising, event planning, miniatures.
I have electronically met people who have become my lasting friends
and I am rich beyond my dreams.

folks who don't blog don't understand it. one of my relatives said, 'really? a blog?' and kind of rolled her eyes when i told her how i spend my time. some folks don't know what a blog is; others think of it like the sports or hollywood or whatever blogs that are widely publicized. those folks don't know what a wonderful neighborhood we share here in our 'regular' blogs. :)
We are blessed, aren't we? I'm so glad I found your blog this year, Lynne. I'm always inspired by it, and I always leave with a smile.
I always look forward to your thoughtful posts, my Michigan friend :-)
I, too, feel the friendship of those I've met through my blog. From Great Britain to Canada to Poland to Italy and Greece as well as all across the U.S., people have entered my life in such interesting ways. Some I've actually had the pleasure of meeting in person and I hope that list will continue to grow.
Best,
Bonnie
Oh Lynn, what a wonderful post and every word profound! Those that don't blog, haven't a clue. I love our neighborhood of sweet and precious friends, like you! You make my day each time you drop in. I love and look forward to your posts too.
I've missed some, don't know why they did not show on my blog roll!
Take care~
Every day I am awed and amazed by the wonderful, supportive, talented, women in blogville! Can't imagine my life without them, now.
So very true, I too have family and friends who don't even know I have a blog and some who turn their nose up just at the mention of the word blog. I've certainly learned a lot & found friends I love to chat to since I started my blog. Thank you Lynne for speaking your mind.
1-5 - agree agree agree! I love my blog friends - I find you all very inspiring in so many ways!
Hi, there! I'm visiting from R5F. It's true that blogging does allow us to meet so many amazing people! I've met a few of my blogging friends in person; that's always fun!
I've been blessed with our blogging relationship, Lynne. We've been able to blend our blogging world into our 'regular' world. A very special friendship indeed.
Lynne, you are so right! Blogging friends of BFs are so misunderstood by NBFs. Sometimes when I speak about BFs to NBFs I get looks as if I'm talking about something imaginary. Your post is so accurate, I've learned more about new places, read all sorts of books, listened to new music, updated my wardrobe, made all sorts of new foods and more, all because of blog friends. Such a great post!
Oh Lynne...I can't say enough about this post. Your words are PERFECT!!!
A lovely post about Blog Land! :)
Lynne, what a lovely post. We are lucky ... travel the world, learn new things, see exciting places, meet new people, make new friends --- all without leaving our own homes. Wow!
You've summed it all up so nicely! I've met such amazing people and have learned so much, my world has opened up immensely. Nonbloggers just don't get it. One of your best posts yet!
Love these! Very interesting point made in number 1 and so very true. I always refer to my blogging my friends when I am talking to real time people as my friend in Maine or My friend in Arizona or My friend in Texas or My friend in England. They are just as real to me and the person I am talking to
Lovely photos -
Yes, I feel the same way about our blogger family . . .
All I can say is 'ME TOO!'
We certainly have the best of both worlds.
Amen to that..well said Lynne..Nice post..Wish I had the art of expression..That was beautifully written..
I love my blog friends. My "real life" friends don't understand.
I think non-bloggers have no idea what a wonderful world we bloggers live in. I have a couple of friends who used to think blogging was kind of impersonal but guess what! They both have blogs now and boy have their ideas changed. ;)
I think you said this so well Lynne, The Blogging world is just amazing! - Thanks for the recipe too for the soup. You had some wonderful photos today too.
Very well said! I feel like I'm "home" when I blog. Theresa is right when she says folks don't understand it. I've had the eye rolling, too. :) I'm glad I found your blog at R5F and I'm your newest follower. Happy Friday!
I totally agree .. the blog world is wonderful. I've met some lovely and interesting people. And creative! Dang! I've gotten so many ideas from my blog friends.
Lovely post.
Have a great weekend!

Ditto.
I adore my blog friends too... and consider them 'real' friends.
Like you! You always cheer me and send me sweet messages. Love that we have a friend-ship... that is real :)
Have a great weekend, my friend.
K.
Agree with you about most...my best friend understands the blog thing, and really does anyone else matter.
Do you visit Madsnapper? If you don't, visit my blog and look in the comments for Sandra...go to her Madsnapper blog and go back two or three days and read what she had to say about Happiness Is...it is wonderful.
p.s..
Wish I could hit the "like" button for all the other comments that your blogging friends have left.... kind comments... each one.
**Smiles**
Awwww -- me loves you too Lynne! I agree 100%! :)
Lynne, what a lovely post. I love all my blog friends too. It is cool to be able to travel around the world with just a click. Your words are so sweet and so true. I feel very much the same as you! Have a happy weekend!
What a great post Lynne! You're so right about the friends we meet out here. And our 'other' friends just don't get it. I often get the rolling eyes look when I tell someone I blog. They don't know what they're missing! It's wonderful to know you, Lynne. Blessings.
This post..will remain one of my favorites of yours. You said it all for me. About our friends..online and off. I find the same thing...and what is more interesting..my friends from miles away that I love and miss and they miss me and we call on the phone, etc..will not visit my blog to see what I am doing. I also find that very strange. They usually want nothing to do with anything on the computer if they are not bloggers.
Very few even do facebook and I don't either..but..if I had a far away friend that I was close to..or a sister, etc. I would find it so wonderful to see what they are up to. Plus the ones that do, visit, NEVER comment. I think something about it scares them.
Interesting. They don't even want to hear about my blogger friends. Such a loss..at least so it seems to me.
Seems nothing can be done about it either..sometimes it makes me sad.
It does.
You are one in a billion...a friend, real and true! I must admit, I envy those that can hug you regularly! Love, Penny
What a lovely blog-post and definitely so true. Oh the friends we meet thru this great blogging world, are indeed truly special.
So true!!! There are friendships that we make through this blogging community that are certainly real ones ... where we can share and laugh and cry and support one another, just like in-person friends do.
I think blog friends are wonderful and add another dimension to our lives that people who do not read or write blogs just cannot understand. I so enjoy chatting and sharing with people across the globe who I would never have the opportunity to interact with otherwise. Each comment is like a little gift.
Such a true to heart post, I love this. And I agree my blogging friends are wonderful.
I'm always perplexed by those who feel blogging buddies are not real...well what does that make me?
Jen
We Love you too Lynne! Very much.
when you figure out number 1, let me know. it also seems the liberals I know are all for tolerance...as long as we're in agreement but when we're in disagreement...they run the other direction.
just sayin'
I love my blogging friends too! :-)
HI Lynn A beautifully written post and so true and I thank you for being one of my blogging friends. Of course with 'Irish'in your blog title, how could I not be friends with you!
Ah, a lovely post, both in picture and prose. You are such a sweet soul, Lynne. You always have the right words to say, and have certainly lifted my spirits over and over again with your visits to my blog. I'm so sorry I'm late in seeing this, but so glad I did. Hugs dear Michigan friend. ~ Nancy
Good Morning Lynne, You are so right about the difference between blogging friends and friends which we see on a day to day basis.
I am quite a shy person, I am not very good at pushing myself forward, I prefer to be on the sidelines, but I was encouraged to talk about my blog, so I decided to tell a friend about my blog and do you know it made her very uncomfortable. I really don't know why.... it seemed such a strange reaction. So now, apart from my immediate family, I don't talk about my blog.... shame really.
Best Wishes
Daphne
