The Oscars . . .

I like to see what everyone is wearing and listen to the speeches.
Camila Alves won my vote for the most beautiful dress.  Stunning!
She is married to Matthew McConaughey.
However, I was not a fan of his best actor acceptance speech.

His leading ladies: Matthew posed with his mother Mary McCabe on one side and Camila on his other

Lupita Nyong'o
stole the show
beautiful in her powdery blue Prada dress
and her excellent best supporting actress speech.

I liked Ellen changing things up by
taking the dressed to the nines
black suit and tie, beautifully dressed
actors and actresses
out of their boxes
and serving them pizza.

Bette Midler
was exceptional
singing the in memory song
Wings Beneath My Wings
Ms.Midler has always been one of my favorites

That is it for my post Oscar 2014 critique.

Until next time,
Love, Lynne

I agree with you totally!! And I thought the pizza was a bit of a joke at first, but people were really eating it, I guess they WERE in fact, hungry! ...I just know I would have gotten it on whatever it was I was wearing!! :-)

My favorite...pink and the oz segment. But yes I like Bette too. Matthew M. speech over my head though. Always a big fan of Ellen's, she seems kind and genuine.

I've been so out of the entertainment loop since we haven't had television for several years.. but this made me reminiscent of the big award shows.
They look so CLASSY!!!
Two gorgeous dresses here, I'm impressed. And Bette Midler sang!?! I missed out!

The dresses are pretty, I was happy to see them on the news. I did not watch the Oscars. I do enjoy Ellen's humour. Have a happy day!

I don't ever watch award shows but do pay attention to the winner's list. Matthew is a pip for sure. :)

I am not a movie goer or watcher (why, I have no idea!)so I did not know anything about the nominees.
I did happen to be flipping through channels right at the moment that Lupita was giving her most lovely speech. I had no idea at the time who she was or what she was in, but her words were so humble and well spoken.

I was not a fan of Lupita's plunging V, not flattering at all and that is all people look at. So happy Cate Blanchett won for best actress, I love her.

Totally agree with you on these dresses and he gave a super dumb speech if you ask me.

We didn't watch the Oscars. Seeing Bette Midler would have been a highlight for me. Matthew's wife is gorgeous.
