driving across state this past weekend
and then driving across state back home on the same day
we ended up on a country road due to a horrendous
back up on the interstate
not sure we gained much because
we ended up on a country road
creeping along with hundreds of cars
who turned off, just like we did
anyway, as we were sitting there at a dead stop
I looked to the right
and this is what I saw
kinda sorta looks like a
good fence to me
at least, the beginning of one
so there you have it
when you least expect
luck happens
~
join in on the fun
makes this happen each week
'till next time,
Love, Lynne

Lynne, sounds like a bad weekend for the traffic..Do you think they ran out of rocks for their rock wall. Great capture. Have a happy day!
Maybe it was fate that the traffic led you to this area :)
Always, always find the good.
I like the little stone fence!
Yeah, I hope they continue and make a great stone wall!
i love stone fences! wish we had them here! that's a good start to one!
A view like this makes leaving the interstate a true pleasure, at least it would be for me.
I love the back roads. Seeing all the family farms and pretty farmhouses makes me happy and really shows the real Michigan :-)
I love little low, rock fences....looks like they didn't get far when they thought, "waaay too hot to be out here" and just went home. :)
I like it !!
Love it!!
Guess if you had to go out of your way to avoid traffic, it was a nice happenstance to find this :)
K.
Bad traffic is a bummer, but you got a great photo out of the detour.
I just Love rock. Rock and stone I think are beautiful. Natural. Have a good day.
I bet I know which back-up you were in. That blasted construction has been a nightmare this summer.
At least you got a good photo from the detour!
Just imagine carrying all those stones! When I see old stone fences in Ontario I think of the early settlers who did it all with oxen (if they were lucky!)
Interesting meme--you sure find some fascinating examples. Sorry about the dreadful traffic!
Nothing like being backed up in traffic. At least you found something interesting to photograph.
Ohhh...I love that fence...sweet! Just my kind of fence...it just says "just be careful going around this curve..I've just here to keep you from banging into a tree :)
Looks like the start of a scenic fence indeed ! :)
Yep, that's definitely the start of a good fence.
Diana
lol the rock wall needs to be a tad higher
Our roads are only as good as the traffic they carry aren't they?
That does look like a great fence.
Jen
Well, at least your view was better on the back roads. :-)
We are all too busy, we all need a dirt road detour now and then to calm down and see what we are missing! Thanks Lynn.
I love rock walls. Hope they do more with this one. Have a great week, Lynne! xxx ~ Nancy

Oh I am loving that "not quite finished" fence. It is a wonder what you can find on the off roads!!
